Who Takes the Stage?: Positioning Students as Mathematical Experts

Equitable math instruction should position students as mathematical experts to develop their math identities. We will explore and discuss teaching moves through video examples of two students engaging in a technology-enhanced math task as we consider how all students can be positioned to meet the challenge of being active explorers of math.
